'Faustina': Mercy in a Merciless World - Crisis Magazine: Certainly within Catholic circles, a film about the latest, most significant spiritual devotion—the Divine Mercy image and Chaplet—has been much anticipated, and if the nearly-full theatre where I viewed the film is any indication, its premier showing was well attended in a limited theatrical release. Due to popular demand, the film is scheduled for an …

We Don't Need to Fear a Future Schism: A schism in American Catholicism? I think not. NY Casino flop

The Wilmot's are selling.  I give them credit, they know how to jump ship before it sinks.  Remember Irondequoit Mall?  New name (twice).  Still empty.
I'm talking about del Lago Casino and Resort.  I guess if you build it, sometimes they don't show up.  They just can't compete with the Turning Stone empire.  Spend your money at the outlet stores across the Thruway.

The Catskill casino?  Close to bankruptcy.  Seems that the Catskill region may never be popular again, at least to New York City residents.  A casino losing $70 million dollars?  In six months?

And we have the Seneca Nation of Indians refusing to pay NY State what it owes them.  Its only $255 million dollars.  Surprising that steam roller Cuomo refuses to do anything about this.  Refuse to patronize their casinos.
